The Boker x Skellern designed Exskelibur I is back with in rugged new variation. It retains the smooth front flipper operation and rock solid frame lock construction now with a green canvas Micarta front scale and subdued black stonewashed finish on the steel frame and D2 tool steel blade. Brand new, direct from Boker Knives. Blade: Flat ground D2 tool steel comes in a classic drop point with a nearly full flat grind for everyday utility. The front flipper tab is jimped for traction and allows the blade to be deployed at whatever speed you prefer on the smooth nylon washer pivot. A black stonewashed finish hides wear and is discreet in use. Handle: The clean, stylish handle consists of a solid canvas Micarta top joined to the steel frame via barrel spacers in an easy to maintain open back construction. A neutral design and subtle contours make for a comfortable and secure grip. The integral frame lock is smooth in operation and delivers solid lockup for safe use. Carries via a right-hand stainless steel pocket clip. D2 Tool Steel: Used as a die cutting steel since WW II, D2 offers a good combination of hardness and wear resistance with moderate toughness and stain resistance. High chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) gives D2 better corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels.
