Awesome blind for the price BUT...(big BUT)

- Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2020I got this for my husband several years ago after we got married. He has brought it out and would normally set it up and take it down each time he went out since its easy set up and tear down. For the last couple years he has set it up and left it up all hunting season and taken it down after his last day. Today he came home from his hunting trip raving about this thing. His buddy and him went out to hunt and the wind was steady at 20-30 MPHs. There was a thunderstorm that blew through and gusts reached up to 50-60 MPH. Yet he was all excited that the blind was able to stay standing against the wind and kept them both dry during the rain. As for the deer hunting part, it works really well too as they have been successful hunting from the blind 3 years in a row now. Would highly recommend this pop-up blind for anyone searching for a reliable pop-up blind thats big enough for two people plus gear.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2017I didn't go into this purchase blind (pun intended), I had borrowed one from a friend to hunt turkey. For the price this is a really good blind, but a little tight for bow hunting. The blind will not hold up for extended set up, but if you are setting up daily during the season it sets up fast. Generally I only use anchors if it is breezy. I had to seal the overhead seams to make sure it doesn't leak on my head. It is a bit tricky to fold up, but with practice it is not bad. For my frequency of use, the ease of set up, and the frequency of use I give it 5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2015I'm nitpicking the 5th star, because the build is not perfect and it is Made in China (or somewhere other than USA.) But really, it should be 5 stars for the money.
A buddy has one that he has had for a few years and I have seen how they hold up under heavy use and being left out in a snowstorm. (broke his roof poles)
Setup is really, really easy. You can even skip the roof support poles if the weather is good.
Good room inside, the windows work and you get a few options. Peep window or the big window. I'm using this for gun season so the deer are moving much faster, and I need the big window open.
It's weird to wear black hunting, but you want to do that in this blind.
Takedown is a pain in the keister, I am sure there is a trick to getting it to fold back up (with the spring arm poles) but I have not learned it yet. I am sure I will.
Overall, you can't beat this for the money.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2015I bought this blind WITHOUT reading many reviews, just because the price was excellent. I also bought it primarily for bowhunting.
A LOT of reviews say they don't have enough room to draw their bow, even one guy who said he was 5'5ft tall!
I am 5'9, 185 lbs. I bought one of those folding chairs, and have now hunted out of it multiple times. I have NO trouble whatsoever drawing, moving side to side, and shooting my bow. It is very, very spacious inside and provides me plenty of room to come to full draw with my draw elbow touching the back of the blind, my 8in stabilizer touching the front of the blind, OR my arrow sticking out of the window.
YMMV, but I'm really not sure how these other guys are so crammed in this thing, especially the really short guy!
**also reading a lot of complaints on folding it up. It folds up like any other blind I've used. Read the directions, people...it's too easy. Once you flip your hand it literally falls in on itself. It's really not hard at all lol.
Excellent blind. I highly recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2018I haven't used this in the field yet, but I set it up in the yard to get rid of the new smell and any unnatural smells before taking it out hunting as I do with all my equipment before hand. Will definitely make a difference if your planning on using right away. There are closable shooting windows on all four sides. It will literally set up in a minute other than putting in your anchor stakes. I don't care for the height, but don't plan on standing up in it anyways. I like the weight compared with other blinds since I will be packing it in onto ridges to wait and ambush elk going back to their day bedding areas or watering holes in the afternoon. The blind weights approx. 10 pounds and a decent chair will add 5-6 pounds. Makes a big difference if your packing in a long ways along with normal gear and weapon of choice. Good luck!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2016Cheaply made
Don't expect it to last
Came with rip
Must tie down and use bars to hold up top or she will leak on you
Not waterproof or snow proof at all.
Fairly easy to set up but no so easy to collapse back down.
Only use it when you plan on bad weather - not wind, or she will blow away.
A lot more work the its worth
I like the one man chair hunting blind. Its easier, sturdier and takes a lot of wind - since it would have to blow me over with it. Just tight and cramped views.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2017Great price on a great product. I had to replace one that thieves stole from my 80 year old dad. Roomy enough for 1 hunter or 1 adult and 1 child. These are lightweight and easy to deploy and take down once you get a feel for the process. The zipper in this one is better than the 2 we have owned in the past. (Easier to zip all the way closed when staked out)
- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2015I love this blind. You can adjust the windows to your preference, the camo is good for my area in the fall, and it blocks a lot of the wind. The only downside is that you will not want to use a high sitting chair. This blind is also more durable than my previous one which cost twice as much. It takes a few minutes to set it up if you are alone, but it is a breeze with help. I killed a buck on black Friday this year sitting in this thing, so I highly recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Dogs Doodahs!
I've only given it 4 stars (when really it should be 5!) I wanted to draw attention to something that is missing from this one - but is on the first one we bought several years ago - and thats a fine scrim which velcroed to the main large front opening (there is scrim at the smaller front opening) but our original one has a large piece of scrim across the large opening and this is very important for photographers but maybe not so important for 'shooters'. The rest of the hide is as expected a well made, roomy enough for two people and just the job for wildlife photography work. Some other hides are just material so when the sun shines you can see the person inside really easily both from looking in and their shadow on the sides. This hide being black inside has no such problems and is really excellent. We've had to pay extra to customs as this order was fulfilled from America - I couldn't find any suppliers in Britain - our first one came from a gamefyre shop in Scotland. With so many people buying expensive camera equipment and getting into wildlife photography I reckon British suppliers are missing a trick not stocking this item! Its an excellent well made essential piece of kit - our first one has had many uses and I'm sure this one will too: have a look here for some of our results using it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pmgi-wildlife-images/with/21660534120/

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay - not easy to carry with another pack and some quality issues.
The blind is okay. Easy setup and, once you get use to it, the take down is okay. I managed to attach this to the back of my pack, but it's not the easiest to carry if you have another pack you're wearing. One of the shoulders straps tore at the attachment point before I even took it into the field. I left it out overnight and there was frost the next morning. The zippers did not like that and were 1) difficult to operate, and 2) some of them separated.
If day hunting in warmer climes it will likely fit the bill as long as you're gentle with it. For multi-day hunts where you need another pack or for freezing temps, I'd suggest looking at something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great price, great quality!
Love love love. Purchased as a birthday gift for my husband, he absolutely loved it. I paired it with the foldable camo chair. Great for hunting! Easy assembly, and disassembly! Shoot through mesh.. material is great quality. Would definitely recommend

5.0 out of 5 stars Works so well I had 2 very nervous turkeys come ...
Works so well I had 2 very nervous turkeys come within 15 feet of me and they had no clue I was there. The only suggestion I have is to watch some of the You tube videos on how to fold it back up or you are going to curse this thing. There is a trick and once you see how it is done...60 seconds and it is back in the pack. The surviving turkeys now know how to curse in English!! LOL!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product but not quite as good as the original Dog House blind
A good quick up / quick down shelter for any hunting, photography, etc.without disturbing the wildlife. The newer version isn't quite as good as the original "dog house"... the new one doesn't have see thru (shoot thru) mess on the large windows. The original version did and it was great for remaining invisible and keeping bugs out.
